Exorcising at sunset

Jesus exorcising at sunset is one of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels. It appears in the Gospels just after the Healing the mother of Peter's wife, namely in Matthew 8:16-17, Mark 1:32-34 and Luke 4:40-41.

According to the Gospels, after Jesus had healed the mother of Peter's wife, when evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. According to the Gospel of Matthew, this was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

"He took up our infirmities
 and bore our diseases."

In the Gospel of Luke, as the demons came out of many people, they shouted, "You are the Son of God!" But Jesus rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ.

저물매 사람들이 귀신 들린 자를 많이 데리고 예수께 오거늘 예수께서 말씀으로 귀신들을 쫓아 내시고 병든 자를 다 고치시니 이는 선지자 이사야로 하신 말씀에 우리 연약한 것을 친히 담당하시고 병을 짊어지셨도다 함을 이루려 하심이더라

(막01:32-34 병든 많은 사람을 고치시다 

저물어 해 질 때에 모든 병자와 귀신들린 자를 예수께 데려오니 온 동네가 문 앞에 모였더라 예수께서 각색 병든 많은 사람을 고치시며 많은 귀신을 내어 쫓으시되 귀신이 자기를 알므로 그 말하는 것을 허락지 아니하시니라

(눅04:38-41 많은 사람을 고치시다 

예수께서 일어나 회당에서 나가사 시몬의 집에 들어가시니 시몬의 장모가 중한 열병에 붙들린지라 사람이 저를 위하여 예수께 구하니 예수께서 가까이 서서 열병을 꾸짖으신대 병이 떠나고 여자가 곧 일어나 저희에게 수종드니라 해 질 적에 각색 병으로 앓는 자 있는 사람들이 다 병인을 데리고 나아오매 예수께서 일일히 그 위에 손을 얹으사 고치시니 여러 사람에게서 귀신들이 나가며 소리질러 가로되 당신은 하나님의 아들이니이다 예수께서 꾸짖으사 저희의 말함을 허락지 아니하시니 이는 자기를 그리스도인줄 앎이러라
