WSC_Q101. 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며

Q. 101. What do we pray for in the first petition?

A. In the first petition, which is, Hallowed be thy name, we pray that God would enable us, and others, to glorify him in all that whereby he maketh himself known;[212] and that he would dispose all things to his own glory.[213]


[212] Psalm 67:1-3. God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. (시67:1-3 하나님은 우리를 긍휼히 여기사 복을 주시고 그 얼굴 빛으로 우리에게 비취사(셀라) 주의 도를 땅 위에, 주의 구원을 만방 중에 알리소서 하나님이여 민족들로 주를 찬송케 하시며 모든 민족으로 주를 찬송케 하소서 

Psalm 99:3. Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy. (시99:3  주의 크고 두려운 이름을 찬송할찌어다 그는 거룩하시도다

Psalm 100:3-4. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. (시100:3-4 여호와가 우리 하나님이신줄 너희는 알찌어다 그는 우리를 지으신 자시요 우리는 그의 것이니 그의 백성이요 그의 기르시는 양이로다 감사함으로 그 문에 들어가며 찬송함으로 그 궁정에 들어가서 그에게 감사하며 그 이름을 송축할찌어다 

[213] Romans 11:33-36. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. Revelation 4:11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (계4:11 우리 주 하나님이여 영광과 존귀와 능력을 받으시는 것이 합당하오니 주께서 만물을 지으신지라 만물이 주의 뜻대로 있었고 또 지으심을 받았나이다 하더라 


문101. 첫 기도에 우리가 무엇을 구하는가 ?

답. 첫 기도는 곧 이름을 거룩하게 하옵소서 함은 하나님께서 자기를 나타내시는 모든 일에 우리와 다른 이로 하여금 능히 그를 영화롭게 하고, 또 모든 것을 처리하며, 하나님의 영광에 이르게 하옵심을 구하는 것이다.

 '이름이 거룩하게 하옵시고'

      (1) 모든 일에 우리와 (롬 12:1 ) 다른 이로 (마 5:16 ) 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 함 (빌 2:11-20 )

      (2) 모든 처리에 하나님께 영광을 돌릴 것 (롬 11:36 , 고후 3:5 , 계 4:11 )
