이과수 강에 있는 이과수 폭포는 세계에서 가장 거대한 규모의 폭포입니다. 반원형 모양으로 2,700m(거의 2마일)에 달합니다. 이과수 폭포를 구성하고 있는 275개의 폭포 중에서 ″악마의 목구멍″이라고 불리는 폭포가 80m로 가장 높습니다. 이과수 폭포는 브라질의 파라나 주와 아르헨티나의 미션 주 사이에 인접해 있으며 두 개의 국립공원(브라질/아르헨티나)으로 둘러싸여 있습니다. 이 두 국립공원은 아열대 우림 지역으로 멸종 위기에 있는 희귀 동식물 수백 여종의 서식지입니다.
 
Iguazu Falls, in Iguazu River, are one of the world's largest waterfalls. They extend over 2,700 m (nearly 2 miles)  in a semi-circular shape.  Of the 275 falls that collectively make up Iguassu Falls, "Devil's Throat" is the tallest at 80 m in height. Iguazu Falls are on the border between the Brazilian state of Parana and the Argentine province of Misiones, and are surrounded by two National Parks (BR/ARG). Both are subtropical rainforests that are host to hundreds of rare and endangered species of flora and fauna.
