박찬호(35.LA 다저스)가 시즌 세 번째 선발 등판에서 빼어난 투구를 선보이며 23개월 만에 선발승을 거뒀다.

박찬호는 28일 캘리포니아주 LA 다저스타디움에서 계속된 미국프로야구 LA 에인절스 오브 애너하임과 인터리그 홈경기에 선발 등판, 6이닝 동안 산발 4안타만 맞고 삼진을 7개나 솎아내는 완벽한 투구로 에인절스 타선을 무득점으로 꽁꽁 묶었다.

그는 3-0으로 앞선 6회 말 1사 2루 타석에서 대타 마크 스위니로 교체됐다. 다저스가 6-0으로 승리하면서 박찬호는 샌디에이고 파드리스 소속이던 2006년 7월26일 다저스전 승리 이후 23개월 만에 선발투수로서 승리를 챙겼다.

또 다저스 유니폼을 입고 다저스타디움에서 선발승을 거두기는 2001년 9월26일 샌프란시스코전 이후 근 7년 만이다. 시즌 성적 3승(2패)째를 거둔 박찬호는 평균자책점도 2.83에서 2.52로 낮췄다.

90개를 던져 64개를 스트라이크로 꽂았을 정도로 공격적인 투구를 펼쳤고 최고 시속 154㎞짜리 힘 있는 직구가 큰 위력을 발휘했다. 또 홈 플레이트에서 급격하게 떨어지는 슬라이더와 체인지업도 완벽하게 제구됐다.

특히 전성기 시절에 맞먹는 직구로 22일 클리블랜드전에서 삼진 9개를 낚은 데 이어 이날도 7개를 추가하며 탈삼진 능력이 몰라보게 좋아졌다.

박찬호는 1회 안타 2개를 맞고 1사 1,3루에 몰렸지만 상대 주포 블라디미르 게레로를 유격수 병살타로 처리하며 위기를 넘긴 박찬호는 2,3회 삼진 3개를 뽑아내며 각각 삼자 범퇴로 깔끔하게 막았다.

4회에는 2사 후 게레로에게 3루 수 앞 내야 안타를 내줬지만 후속 토리 헌터를 중견수 뜬공으로 잡고 무실점 행진을 이어갔다.

5회 세 타자를 간단히 요리한 박찬호는 6회 1사 후 에릭 아이바에게 우선상 2루타를 내준 뒤 중계 실책 속에 1사 3루 고비를 맞았으나 후속 두 타자를 삼진과 중견수 뜬공으로 처리하고 큰 박수를 받았다.

1회 포수 러셀 마틴의 좌측 펜스를 크게 넘어가는 솔로 아치로 앞서간 다저스는 매회 주자를 내보내고도 답답한 경기를 펼치다 5회 무사 1루에서 마틴의 땅볼을 잡은 에인절스 유격수 아이바가 2루에 악송구한 틈을 타 무사 2,3루 기회를 잡았다.

이어 제프 켄트의 희생플라이와 제임스 로니의 중전 적시타로 2점을 달아났고 7회에는 안드레 이디어가 우월 스리런포로 승부에 쐐기를 박았다. (연합뉴스 2008-06-28)

AP - Jun 27, 11:18 pm EDT 1 of 10 MLB Gallery LOS ANGELES (AP)—Chan Ho Park shut out the Angels over his six innings, Andre Ethier hit a three-run homer and the Dodgers beat the Angels 6-0 on Friday night.

Park (3-2) scattered four hits, struck out seven and did not walk a batter as the Dodgers beat Joe Saunders (11-4), who remained tied for the major league lead in victories.

Russell Martin put the Dodgers ahead to stay with his eighth homer, a solo shot with two out in the first. Ethier, who came into the game for defensive purposes in the top of the seventh, hit his three-run shot off Justin Speier in the bottom half for a six-run cushion.

The Dodgers had scratched out two runs against Saunders in the fifth, on Jeff Kent’s sacrifice fly and James Loney’s RBI single.

Saunders allowed three runs, two earned, and five hits in five innings. He walked four

Brian Falkenborg set the Angels down in order in the seventh, then Jonathan Broxton struck out the side in the eighth, and Takashi Saito did the same in the ninth.

The victory was only the Dodgers’ third in their last 12 games in the “Freeway Series,” including losing two of three in Anaheim earlier this season. The Angels lead the all-time series 37-29.

The AL West leading Angels, whose 48-32 record is among the best in the majors, lost for only the third time in their last 13 games on the road. The Dodgers, five games below .500 but still in second place behind Arizona in the NL West, won for the third time in their last seven games.

The Dodgers opened a 3-0 lead after shortstop Erick Aybar’s throwing error to second base on Martin’s grounder in the fifth put runners on second and third. Kent followed with a sacrifice fly, then Loney singled in a run.

The Angels got a runner as far as third base twice against Park, in the first and sixth, but he pitched out of trouble both times. He retired 16 of the last 18 batters he faced.

Ethier’s two-out homer, his seventh, came after Martin and Kent opened the inning with singles.

Dodgers SS Rafael Furcal, CF Andruw Jones and possibly 3B Nomar Garciaparra are scheduled to begin rehab assignments for Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday. Furcal and Garciaparra could return before the All-Star break, and Jones could soon follow afterward. … Dodgers RHPs Hiroki Kuroda and Brad Penny had their scheduled simulated games for Saturday scrapped. Both will instead throw bullpen sessions because Penny is still feeling something in his shoulder and Kruoda’s neck is still bothering him. … Angels 3B and leadoff man Chone Figgins sat out with infection in his right knee, the result of a slide, and is listed as day-to-day. … Angels RHP Kelvim Escobar will begin a rehab assignment on Monday with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. … Angels OF Juan Rivera was still in Miami dealing with some family issues after his wife gave birth, but he’s expected back by Saturday. Mom and child are OK and the complications are not considered serious.
