Machine Description 

One of the advantages of using a Sund Birsta SmoothLocTM Strap Unit is the security latch that prevents the strap from coming apart, leaving the bundle or coil unbound. 

The Sund Birsta SmoothLoc Strap Unit is suitable for numerous applications. 

  • Long products:

    • such as bars, shaped bars, pipes, tubes, etc.
  • Wire and Rod Coils:

    • Through the core, vertical or horizontally, and/or around the circumference, a so called "belly binding". 
     
  • Strip Coils:

    •  Through the eye and/or around the periphery, a so called "belly bending"
The Sund Birsta SmoothLocTM Strap Unit is completely hydraulically driven, which is a clear advantage as most other operations in this context are hydraulically operated.

 Sund Birsta is able to supply everything from a single machine using SmoothLocTM Strap Unit, to a full scale handling system for handling of Flat Rolled Products, Wire and Rod Coils or Strip Coils.
