Psalm 029: The Patriotism Prophecy

"Our Father which art in heaven ... Thy Kingdom come ... For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, for ever"

The English word "king" originated from a compound Anglo-Saxon word, cyning, which literally meant the father of a kin. The Hebrew word of the Holy Scriptures that is translated as "king" is pronounced meh-lek. It means exactly the same as the English word that is used to translate it - king, the father of a people.

The word "patriotism" originated from a Latin word that meant faithful to the father. The terms patriot and patriotism were both originally family, not political, terms. The penalty however for being a traitor to the Patriarch of a family was exactly the same as it later became for traitors to the Patriarch of a kingdom (keeping in mind that nations and kingdoms originated from families - Israel is the most obvious example; see The Origin Of Israel and The Origin Of Israelites And Jews).

"21:15 And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death." (Exodus 21:15 KJV)

21:17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death." (Exodus 21:17 KJV)

The original and literal meaning of "patriotism" was the basis of the Fifth Commandment. Notice the stated connection between Patriotism and "the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."

"20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee." (Exodus 20:12 KJV)

The coming Kingdom of God will be political (i.e. a "Kingdom"), but it will also be a nation ("nation" literally means nativity - the family of birth) created by the "born again" (see What Was The Lesson Of John 3:16?) family of the King - the children of God in the Kingdom of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born from the mother "Church of God." It's the reason that God is called the "Father" and why "heaven" will be a Kingdom.

"6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 6:10 Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread. 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Amen." (Matthew 6:9-13 KJV)

The Kingdom of God will be a very "patriotic" Kingdom where all rebels, beginning with the first rebel, Satan, will be put out (see also Sending Away The Escapades Goat).

"5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." (1 John 5:2-3 KJV)

"3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26-28 KJV)

"21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8 KJV)

King David was also a prophet (see The Way To Eternal Life and The Messiah's Rod Of Iron; also The Righteous Don't Fear The Reaper and When Will The LORD Let You See His Face?) who clearly saw the coming Kingdom of God wherein "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace" (see also The Kingdom Of The LORD God).

"29:1 A Psalm of David.

Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

29:3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. 29:4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. 29:5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. 29:6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. 29:7 The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. 29:8 The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. 29:9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. 29:10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. 29:11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace." (Psalm 29:1-11 KJV)
