Genesis 01: In The Beginning Was The Word

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us"

Genesis 1:1 is regarded as the beginning of the Holy Bible, but there is actually an account of before "in the beginning" of the Creation of the physical universe. It was written by the apostle John (see John: Fishers Of Men; also 1 John: 'If You Love The World, The Love Of God Is Not In You', 2 John: The Bride Of Christ and The Great Harlots, 3 John: Follow Not That Which Is Evil, But That Which Is Good and Revelation: Thy Kingdom Come), who received the knowledge directly from the Messiah's teaching.

"1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." 1 태초에 말씀이 계시니라 이 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니 이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시니라 2 그가 태초에 하나님과 함께 계셨고 3 만물이 그로 말미암아 지은바 되었으니 지은 것이 하나도 그가 없이는 된 것이 없느니라 (John 1:1-3 KJV)

Who was the "Word of God" Who was with God? Jesus Christ (see What Does Word of God Mean To You?, The Kingdom Of The LORD God and The Forerunner Of Man and Of God).

"1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." 14 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매 우리가 그 영광을 보니 아버지의 독생자의 영광이요 은혜와 진리가 충만하더라 (John 1:14 KJV)

So it is then that we know Who it was that God sent to do the actual work of Creation, and Who the "Us" were in "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." The first chapter of Genesis covers the first six days of Creation - the first "work week" (see also The Fourth Commandment, Part One: Work). The seven-day week and the LORD's true Sabbath (see also Why Observe The True Sabbath?) were created on the seventh day.

"1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth [see also Are We In Heaven Now?]. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good [see also How Did The Flood Happen?].

1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years [see also The New Moon Calendar]: 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 1:23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day." 20 하나님이 가라사대 물들은 생물로 번성케 하라 땅 위 하늘의 궁창에는 새가 날으라 하시고 21 하나님이 큰 물고기와 물에서 번성하여 움직이는 모든 생물을 그 종류대로, 날개 있는 모든 새를 그 종류대로 창조하시니 하나님의 보시기에 좋았더라 22 하나님이 그들에게 복을 주어 가라사대 생육하고 번성하여 여러 바다 물에 충만하라 새들도 땅에 번성하라 하시니라 23 저녁이 되며 아침이 되니 이는 다섯째 날이니라 (Genesis 1:1-23 KJV)

Humans were created on the sixth day.

"1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so [see also What Makes Physical Life Possible?]. 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them [see Adam and Adamah]. 27

1:28 And God blessed them [see Grace In The Garden], and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day." 31 하나님이 그 지으신 모든 것을 보시니 보시기에 심히 좋았더라 저녁이 되며 아침이 되니 이는 여섯째 날이니라 (Genesis 1;24-31 KJV)

Fact Finder: All seed bearing plants were created "good": "1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:12 KJV). Why, how and when did toxic seed-bearing plants that were not good begin?
