Leviticus 02: The Christian Grain Offerings

"For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth"
Most people easily recognize that the "Old Testament" Passover lamb was actually about Christianity. Christianity didn't somehow abscond with Passover and make it into a Christian observance. It was always about Christianity (see The Passover 'High Day' Sabbath and Israel In History and Prophecy: Passover; also The Cross Of Christ, Or The Cross Of Men?).
The same is true for "Old Testament" Pentecost, known as the Feast of Weeks, or the Feast of Firstfruits. It was always about Christianity (see Pentecost: The Christian Feast Of Firstfruits). So too all of the other true Christian Holy Days (see The Christian Feast Of Trumpets: The First Day Of Salvation, Why Do Christians Observe The Messiah's Day Of Atonement?, Why Christians Observe The Messiah's Feast Of Tabernacles and The Eighth Day: Empty Cemeteries).
The "LORD God" of the "Old Testament" was and is Jesus Christ (see The Kingdom Of The LORD God).
"10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:1-4 KJV)
At the very beginning, the Messiah was sent by the Father (see The Forerunner Of Man and Of God) to do the actual work of Creation. We first read of Jesus Christ in the Holy Scriptures in the first verses of Genesis (see Genesis 1: In The Beginning Was The Word).
"1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;" (Colossians 1:12-19 KJV)
The ancient observances that the LORD gave to the Levite priesthood (e.g. see Leviticus 1: The Burnt Offerings Of The Ancients) were not merely ceremonial - they were Christian prophetic (see the Fact Finder question below).
"2:1 And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon: 2:2 And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: 2:3 And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire." (Leviticus 2:1-3 KJV)
Centuries later, the invention of Judaism (see Israel In History and Prophecy: Judaism and Israel Never Knew Purim, Hanukkah Or Judaism) turned the Christian Levitical observances into an end in themselves, turning their backs to the LORD Who gave the observances to their ancient fathers to begin with. But they were Christian to begin with, and they were restored as Christian by later Levites (see The Levites Of Christ) - not as "dead works" ends in themselves, but as the living prophecies of Christianity that they have always truly been to the LORD.
"2:4 And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baken in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. 2:5 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil. 2:6 Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil thereon: it is a meat offering. 2:7 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in the fryingpan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. 2:8 And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the LORD: and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar. 2:9 And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. 2:10 And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
2:11 No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire. 2:12 As for the oblation of the firstfruits, ye shall offer them unto the LORD: but they shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet savour. 2:13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
2:14 And if thou offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits unto the LORD, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears. 2:15 And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense thereon: it is a meat offering. 2:16 And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD." (Exodus 2:4-16 KJV)
