Job 36: The First Teacher

"Speak to the Earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?"

The LORD created all things (see By Him Were All Things Created). Within the Creation are the natural laws that the LORD "taught" all things. Those teachings are in fact the basis of genuine scientific research of the highest quality (although many scientists still lack the honesty or competence to realize or admit it; see The Only Place That Denies God's Existence).

"12:7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: 12:8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. 12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?" (Job 12:7-9 KJV)

The LORD (Who was and is Jesus Christ - see Genesis 1: In The Beginning Was The Word and The Kingdom Of The LORD God) taught the first humans how to live long and prosper.

"1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." (Genesis 1:27-28 KJV)

The first human students chose to fail because they chose to follow the way of the first dropout (see Satan's Fall: From Conservative To Liberal and What Is Satan's Real Name?) who was stalking around the first school yard, the Garden of Eden, looking for followers (see also How Did Adam And Eve Sin Differently?).

"3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." (Genesis 3:1-6 KJV)

When the LORD was born as a man, He was a Teacher, not just a "preacher" (see Why Did The Sadducees Fear The Messiah?).

"4:1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land." (Mark 4:1 KJV)

"6:2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?" (Mark 6:2 KJV)

Elihu was a wise young friend of Job who recognized the teachings of the LORD (see Elihu's Answer, The Postponement Of Death, The Spirit Of Life and What Did The LORD Teach About How To Pray?). Elihu was a good student and teacher of the LORD: "I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. For truly my words shall not be false: He that is perfect in knowledge is with thee."

"36:1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,

36:2 Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf. 36:3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. 36:4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

36:5 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom. 36:6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor. 36:7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted. 36:8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction; 36:9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded. 36:10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity. 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. 36:12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge. 36:13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them. 36:14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean. 36:15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

36:16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness. 36:17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee. 36:18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee. 36:19 Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength. 36:20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place. 36:21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

36:22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him? 36:23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity? 36:24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold. 36:25 Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off. 36:26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

36:27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: 36:28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly. 36:29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle? 36:30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea. 36:31 For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance. 36:32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt. 36:33 The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour." (Job 36:1-33 KJV)

Fact Finder: How were all of the LORD's teachings about being a winner? For example, how were the LORD's dietary teachings about natural health, not "religion"?
