욥8:1  빌닷의 첫 번째 대답  욥 8:1 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:  욥 8:2 "How long will you say such things? Your words are a blustering wind.  욥 8:3 Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right?  욥 8:4 When your children sinned against him, he gave them over to the penalty of their sin.  욥 8:5 But if you will look to God and plead with the Almighty,  욥 8:6 if you are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your rightful plac e.  욥 8:7 Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.  욥 8:8 "Ask the former generations and find out what their fathers learned,  욥 8:9 for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.  욥 8:10 Will they not instruct you and tell you? Will they not bring forth words from their understanding?  욥 8:11 Can papyrus grow tall where there is no marsh? Can reeds thrive without water?  욥 8:12 While still growing and uncut, they wither more quickly than grass.  욥 8:13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless.  욥 8:14 What he trusts in is fragile; what he relies on is a spider's web.  욥 8:15 He leans on his web, but it gives way; he clings to it, but it does not hold.  욥 8:16 He is like a well-watered plant in the sunshine, spreading its shoots over the garden;  욥 8:17 it entwines its roots around a pile of rocks and looks for a place among the stones.  욥 8:18 But when it is torn from its spot, that place disowns it and says, 'I never saw you.'  욥 8:19 Surely its life withers away, and from the soil other plants grow.  욥 8:20 "Surely God does not reject a blameless man or strengthen the hands of evildoers.  욥 8:21 He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.  욥 8:22 Your enemies will be clothed in shame, and the tents of the wicked will be no more."

 

욥9:1  욥의 두 번째 대답  욥 9:1 Then Job replied:  욥 9:2 "Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can a mortal be righteous before God?  욥 9:3 Though one wished to dispute with him, he could not answer him one time out of a thousand.  욥 9:4 His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out unscathed?  욥 9:5 He moves mountains without their knowing it and overturns them in his anger.  욥 9:6 He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble.  욥 9:7 He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; he seals off the light of the stars.  욥 9:8 He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.  욥 9:9 He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south.  욥 9:10 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.  욥 9:11 When he passes me, I cannot see him; when he goes by, I cannot perceive him.  욥 9:12 If he snatches away, who can stop him? Who can say to him, 'What are you doing?'  욥 9:13 God does not restrain his anger; even the cohorts of Rahab cowered at his feet.  욥 9:14 "How then can I dispute with him? How can I find words to argue with him?  욥 9:15 Though I were innocent, I could not answer him; I could only plead with my Judge for mercy.  욥 9:16 Even if I summoned him and he responded, I do not believe he would give me a hearing.  욥 9:17 He would crush me with a storm and multiply my wounds for no reason.  욥 9:18 He would not let me regain my breath but would overwhelm me with misery.  욥 9:19 If it is a matter of strength, he is mighty! And if it is a matter of justice, who will summon him?  욥 9:20 Even if I were innocent, my mouth would condemn me; if I were blameless, it would pronounce me guilty.  욥 9:21 "Although I am blameless, I have no concern for myself; I despise my own life.  욥 9:22 It is all the same; that is why I say, 'He destroys both the blameless and the wicked.'  욥 9:23 When a scourge brings sudden death, he mocks the despair of the innocent.  욥 9:24 When a land falls into the hands of the wicked, he blindfolds its judges. If it is not he, then who is it?  욥 9:25 "My days are swifter than a runner; they fly away without a glimpse of joy.  욥 9:26 They skim past like boats of papyrus, like eagles swooping down on their prey.  욥 9:27 If I say, 'I will forget my complaint, I will change my expression, and smile,'  욥 9:28 I still dread all my sufferings, for I know you will not hold me innocent.  욥 9:29 Since I am already found guilty, why should I struggle in vain?  욥 9:30 Even if I washed myself with soap and my hands with washing soda,  욥 9:31 you would plunge me into a slime pit so that even my clothes would detest me.  욥 9:32 "He is not a man like me that I might answer him, that we might confront each other in court.  욥 9:33 If only there were someone to arbitrate between us, to lay his hand upon us both,  욥 9:34 someone to remove God's rod from me, so that his terror would frighten me no more.  욥 9:35 Then I would speak up without fear of him, but as it now stands with me, I cannot.

 

욥10:1 욥의 기도  욥 10:1 "I loathe my very life; therefore I will give free rein to my complaint and speak out in the bitterness of my soul.  욥 10:2 I will say to God: Do not condemn me, but tell me what charges you have against me.  욥 10:3 Does it please you to oppress me, to spurn the work of your hands, while you smile on the schemes of the wicked ?  욥 10:4 Do you have eyes of flesh? Do you see as a mortal sees?  욥 10:5 Are your days like those of a mortal or your years like those of a man,  욥 10:6 that you must search out my faults and probe after my sin--  욥 10:7 though you know that I am not guilty and that no one can rescue me from your hand?  욥 10:8 "Your hands shaped me and made me. Will you now turn and destroy me?  욥 10:9 Remember that you molded me like clay. Will you now turn me to dust again?  욥 10:10 Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese,  욥 10:11 clothe me with skin and flesh and knit me together with bones and sinews?  욥 10:12 You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.  욥 10:13 "But this is what you concealed in your heart, and I know that this was in your mind:  욥 10:14 If I sinned, you would be watching me and would not let my offense go unpunished.  욥 10:15 If I am guilty--woe to me! Even if I am innocent, I cannot lift my head, for I am full of shame and drowned in my affliction.  욥 10:16 If I hold my head high, you stalk me like a lion and again display your awesome power against me.  욥 10:17 You bring new witnesses against me and increase your anger toward me; your forces come against me wave upon wa ve.  욥 10:18 "Why then did you bring me out of the womb? I wish I had died before any eye saw me.  욥 10:19 If only I had never come into being, or had been carried straight from the womb to the grave!  욥 10:20 Are not my few days almost over? Turn away from me so I can have a moment's joy  욥 10:21 before I go to the place of no return, to the land of gloom and deep shadow,  욥 10:22 to the land of deepest night, of deep shadow and disorder, where even the light is like darkness."
