When he fought Aram Naharaim and Aram Zobah, and when Joab returned and struck down twelve thousand Edomites in the Val ley of Salt. You have rejected us, O God, and burst forth upon us; you have been angry--now restore us! ½Ã 60:2 You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking. ½Ã 60:3 You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger. ½Ã 60:4 But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow. Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy. ½Ã 64:2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from that noisy crowd of evildoers. ½Ã 64:3 They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their words like deadly arrows. ½Ã 64:4 They shoot from ambush at the innocent man; they shoot at him suddenly, without fear. ½Ã 64:5 They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares; they say, "Who will see them ?" ½Ã 64:6 They plot injustice and say, "We have devised a perfect plan!"
