[1] 에베소 사람으로 은장색으로서 우상을 만들어 이익을 보다가 바울의전도 때문에 영업에 방 해가 되자 동업자들을 충동하여 바울에게 항의하였다(행19:24).


▶ 데메드리오 Demetrius. [Deme'trius]

1.  Silversmith of Ephesus, who made silver shrines of the temple. Fearing that the preaching of Paul against idolatry would lessen the gains of himself and others, he raised an uproar. Acts 19:24, 38.

(행19:24,38 24 즉 데메드리오라 하는 어떤 은장색이 아데미의 은감실을 만들어 직공들로 적지 않은 벌이를 하게 하더니 24 For a certain [man] named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen; 38 만일 데메드리오와 및 그와 함께 있는 직공들이 누구에게 송사할 것이 있거든 재판 날도 있고 총독들도 있으니 피차 고소할 것이요

2.  A convert who was borne witness to by all, and by the truth itself. 3 John 12.
